About Researchy
Researchy is a Grok Bot template for web research where a confident but unsupported answer would be costly.
What it does
Researchy is described on x.ai as a research and fact-check desk that uses the latest available Grok model with live web search. The intended output is a set of sourced, dated claims rather than an answer that hides where its evidence came from.
Farzad's launch post adds a more specific workflow: Researchy can use Grok Build in the command line at a high thinking level. That makes the template relevant to research tasks that may need both web evidence and work on the Bot's computer. Model availability and product access can change, so the current x.ai page remains the place to check before adding it.
Who it is for
The clearest fit is a researcher, analyst, writer, or builder who needs a first pass with links and dates attached. Researchy can make evidence collection faster, but a cited answer is still not automatically correct; important claims should be checked against the linked source.
Created by Farzad
Farzad shared Researchy during the early rollout of public Grok Bot templates. His post links directly to the x.ai Bot page and says the template is one he uses himself. The interaction counts in the Hero are a dated public snapshot, not download, retention, or satisfaction data.
Public feedback
20 public replies reviewed on August 31, 2026. This is a small public sample, not verified install data.
- Two replies said they had copied Researchy and planned to test it, but did not report a completed research result.
- One person asked whether using a shared Bot transfers private data; Farzad replied that he could not see the user's data. That is the creator's statement, not an independent security audit.
- Other replies questioned whether the workflow should be native and reported access limits on mobile or Chromebook devices.
