Memelord
Create captioned image and video memes from a prompt through the Memelord API.
About Memelord
Memelord is a Grok Bot template for generating captioned image and video memes from a prompt through the Memelord API.
What it does
The current x.ai listing says the Bot removes the need to hunt down a meme template by hand. Jason Levin's launch post originally introduced the shared template as Jester and described access to a large library of memes and videos. The stable catalog route remains /bots/jester, while the live x.ai listing now names the template Memelord.
The workflow can shorten meme assembly, but it does not guarantee that a joke is accurate, timely, original, or appropriate for its audience. Users still need to review the selected template, caption, source material, and final post.
Who it is for
The clearest fit is a creator or social team that already knows the joke it wants to make and needs a fast visual or short-video version. It is less useful when the task requires original illustration, detailed motion editing, or careful rights clearance.
Created by Jason Levin
Jason Levin shared the template through the Memelord account during the public Grok Bot rollout. The Hero metrics refer to the original Jester launch post, not generated memes, active users, or viral outcomes.

Public feedback
8 public replies reviewed on September 1, 2026. This is a small public sample, not verified usage data.
- One reply welcomed the idea of letting other Bots create memes.
- Another person linked a directory listing rather than reporting a generated result.
- One reply criticized the risk of producing high-volume timeline noise.
- The remaining reviewed replies were mostly media reactions or brief banter, so the sample does not establish output quality.
